FT. MYERS, FLA: First Horizon Bank celebrated Teach Children to Save Day on April 28 with local schools, non-profits and students by hosting Teach Children to Save events. Created by the American Bankers Association (ABA), this day was created to impart financial knowledge to kids. During these events, students were taught the fundamentals of saving utilizing ABA-developed curriculum. The Fort Myers First Horizon Bank attended Villas Elementary School and Heights Elementary on April 28, 2022.

Myers President of First Horizon Bank. “I’m thrilled that we were able to give local children the valuable tools of saving and establish a solid foundation for their financial literacy.”
The American Bankers Association is a banking industry champion, providing members with education, advocacy, tools and insights necessary to succeed. The ABA established a committee to promote teaching economics and banking in public schools. This committee has developed innovative curriculum packages with activities and lesson plans for multiple ages.
