OPIC Commits up to $200m to
LeapFrog Investments
LeapFrog Investments is set to receive up to $200
million from the Overseas Private Investment Cor-
poration, the OPIC Board of Directors announced.
This is the largest commitment in history to any im-
pact fund manager. It also brings commitments to
LeapFrog to over 1 billion USD, heralding the arrival
of the first billion-dollar group dedicated to equity
impact investing.
OPIC is the U.S. Government’s development finance
institution. It mobilizes private capital to help ad-
dress critical development challenges and in doing
so, advances U.S. foreign policy and national secu-
rity priorities. Because OPIC works with the U.S. pri-
vate sector, it helps U.S. businesses gain footholds
in emerging markets, catalyzing revenues, jobs and
