Lorie Lee Steiner, Editor-In-Chief With 17 years of experience in senior editorial roles, Lorie brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the position of Editor-in-Chief at Business View Publishing. An accomplishe editor, writer, and entrepreneur, Lorie began her career with Business View in 2015, as a freelance writer/interviewer. Lorie notes, “At the time, I had 10 years of experience working from home as a professional writer and editor for magazines in Canada and the U.S. In addition to 30 years, combined, as a 3rd generation co-owner in our family’s Benjamin Moore Paint & Decorating business and owner of my own office supply store, which included a Hallmark franchise and Sears Catalogue Agency. So, plenty of hands-on expertise in business management, customer service, working with the constructio trades, franchisin , marketing, interviewing, feature writing, and proofing literally thousands of pages of magazine copy. Plus a relaxed communication style that I have often been told, ‘puts people at ease.’” What started as writing one or two features a month, led to a couple a week, as well as interviewing remotely for Business View Caribbean and Business View Oceania. Social media was a growing part of the business and Lorie took that on with gusto – loving the opportunity to showcase the innovative companies and cities she’d been writing about. Her role expanded behind the scen s, earning her the title Associate Editor and Social Media Manager. At that point, Lorie was also reaching out to featured businesses and communities with links to their published articles and custom press releases. She admits, “I still love that part; sharing the custom articles we create and having the pleasure of working with such a wide variety of clients. And when there is an issue, we find it just as rewarding to find a solution that makes everyone happy.” Over tim , the spirit of collaboration and communication among all the amazing team members at BVM has evolved into a family kind of atmosphere. Lorie shares, “Even though we’re based in different locations, different countries, we rock and roll together for a common goal – making Business View the very best it can be. I am so proud to be leading this team as Editor in Chief and I look forward to keeping the positive momentum going forward in 2021. Cheers!”
