Business View Magazine - May 2024
EDITOR’S NOTES With May comes the realization that summer is just a spring step away. Although temperatures may not have hit their peak just yet, it is clear that hot and hazy days are just around the corner. We are also moving rapidly through the second financial quarter of 2024 when many of us are still trying to wrap our heads around the fact that winter holidays feel like yesterday! Around the offices of Business View Publishing, we are also feeling the excitement of summer on the not-too-distant horizon. To welcome the month of May we have lined up many in-depth and fascinating profile features covering business sectors from new construction to logistics and transport while also producing top-tier city profiles giving our readers a full business and civic view. Business View is proud to be continuing with our sector-focus series profiling leading school districts across North America. Education is truly the key to success, and with a new economy comes a shift in curriculum for many school districts across the US and Canada. Providing technology training and an emphasis on work and co-op experiences for their students, school districts are successfully pivoting to meet the needs of jobs that many of us can’t even predict. We sat down with school officials from Greenfield- Central Community Schools, Lakehead District School Board, North Branch Area Schools, and Renfrew County District School Board as well as Ashland Community and Technical College, Danville Community College, and Miami Dade College to discuss core values, career-readiness and educational initiatives that are setting our student up for success. May’s forecast is also very favorable for the municipalities we were fortunate to profile. We sat down with city officials from North Mankato, Minnesota, Pincrest, Florida, Port Colborne, Ontario, Torbay, Newfoundland, Wedena, Minnesota and Zephyrhills, Florida among other fast-growing municipalities. As commercial and residential interest in these municipalities continues to rise, upgrades to vital municipal services are in full swing for these regions. All of these cities without exception are ensuring that the needs of their residents remain in full focus. Company profiles also filled the pages of our May issue as we went the extra mile to highlight winning strategies as these organizations adapt to a more favorable economic climate. We bring you features with Brodsky Construction, Dekra-Lite Industries, H&C Tool Supply Corp, and Floor Coverings International Franchising. One takeaway that struck me when diving into what makes each of these organizations tick is that they remain very adaptable, ahead of industry trends, and pivot to ensure continued growth. As we continue to bring you the very best sector and industry-focused features, we hope that you have a little extra time to get outside to read them and welcome the warm spring weather at your doorstep.
