The importance of a good, well- rounded education can never be understated, and curriculum options these days run the gamut – inspiring students to explore and be curious at all ages. Skills training and professional development continues on the job front, as you’ll discover at the many businesses we highlight in this issue of Business View North America. A fine example is Saint Louis School in Honolulu, Hawaii, where they are on a mission to help their all-male students reach their individual potential through spiritual, academic, physical, and emotional development. Graduates of the K-12 school have gone on to achieve greatness in athletics, business, and the arts. Then we have Invisors, a young boutique consultancy company and Workday-certified services partner. They hired about 42% of their staff directly from college campuses, bringing “a lot of new ideas and energy.” Five Star Bank operates on a foundation of constant encouragement – training and developing their teammates and relationship managers to, in turn, offer education, advice, and solutions for the financial wellbeing of their customers. In the Construction sector, Hawaiian firms Alan Shintani Inc. and Royal Contracting Co. Ltd. have both been around long enough to make their mark and establish fine reputations in their fields. Government and private sector work never fails to keep them busy – with some pretty fascinating projects. On the Big Island, in Kona, UCC Hawaii provides a Roastmaster Tour of their 40-acre estate for visitors to learn more about how coffee is grown. They even get to roast their own coffee. Based in West Chester, Ohio, TrueChoicePack has been creating disposable products since 2008 – during which time, sustainability has always been a core value. Just because a product is disposable, doesn’t mean it can’t be environmentally friendly. When it comes to the hospitality sector, Interessant Hotels & Resort Management is keeping a pulse on the global industry and prescribing plans for growth for hotels around the world. Outdoor recreation activities are on everyone’s minds these days, and two outstanding boat dealerships – Chatlee Boat & Marine and Omaha Marine Center – are riding the wave. Back on dry land, equine enthusiasts are keen to get back in the saddle at the Expo Center of Taylor County, also know as “Home of the West Texas Fair & Rodeo.” Finally, we take to the skies at four exceptional Regional Airports. Erie-Ottawa International, Indianapolis Executive Airport, Pryor Field Regional Airport, and Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport have some amazing projects in progress and on tap that will expand their horizons well into the future. One thing is certain, you’re bound to find something that resonates and piques your curiosity within our pages. Life is all about learning… enjoy the read! Lorie Lee Steiner Editor in Chief
