We funded all of those and every single investment group got some return on their investment – 2009 was considered the worst since 1933 and we didn’t have a single failure. Part of that is because I’m pretty restrictive on what we take on.” Hospitality America investigates about 25 potential new opportunities each year, of which two might be converted to contracts. According to Cargen, “We’re very careful in our litmus test and which projects we decide to engage with.
