Together She Can is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that strives to improve the quality of life for women and men experiencing homelessness by providing them with hygiene and beauty products to better their health, wellness, and allow them the opportunity to feel like themselves again. “No matter what situation a person is in, they should not have to spend the majority of their time, effort, or money on basic personal hygiene,” says Madeleine Park, founder of Together She Can. “Our goal is to take all of the extra items that people don’t need and gift them to someone who does.” The event was held at Boston’s Engagement Center. The Engagement Center is a safe space for individuals in need of a rest and recovery. The center is operated by The Boston Public Health Commission, the oldest health department in the United States. Days earlier, Boston’s City Council honored Together She Can and officially recognized the nonprofit for their work with the community. Currently, Together She Can partners will all major shelters in the Greater Boston Area to provide them with hygiene products on a recurring basis. To date, they have gifted over 7,000 hygiene gift bags and provide upwards of 50 life programs. Together She Can works solely off of new/gently used donated items from individuals, hotels, and other businesses. Since their inception in 2016
