and remodeling and have two retail stores that sell pool supplies and chemicals,” says President Doug Heer. The company handles a lot of commercial chemical sales and has both a service department and a weekly cleaning department. “Our main customer focus is the high-end residential market, as well as commercial apartments, condominiums, HOAs, and resorts,” Heer says, explaining that due to such diverse clientele, the company values customization of services as one of its core tenets. Unlike cookie-cutter pool solutions, Precision Pools prides itself on delivering personalized designs that reflect each client’s vision. This is especially true for the commercial work it handles, which, according to Heer, is about 85% remodeling. This customer-centric approach begins with an indepth consultation, during which Precision Pools’ experts work closely with homeowners to understand their preferences, space requirements, and budget. The company has 35 employees, all of whom possess the highest qualifications to complete the job; in fact, Heer himself is a member of the Master Pools Guild and even has a degree in mechanical engineering. As a result, Precision Pools and Spas’ attention to detail extends to every stage of the process. From selecting the perfect tile patterns to ensuring precise water flow in custom-designed fountains, no element is too small to perfect. This is how the company has built such strong relationships with its customers. It views the job as more than just a construction project; it’s a longterm investment that usually creates new business opportunities. “I’m very relationship-based. I’ve gotten most of my jobs through a relationship, a friend of a friend, or someone just referring us,” Heer confirms. This understanding drives the company to go above and beyond to ensure clients are satisfied not just at the time of installation but throughout the lifespan of their pools. THE ROLE OF INNOVATION IN GROWTH Due to the company’s emphasis on relationships, maintenance and repair services are critical to its operations. 68 BUSINESS VIEW MAGAZINE VOLUME 11, ISSUE 12
