A VITAL GATEWAY TO THE REGION The area surrounding the airport has gained the reputation of being a fabulous location for fishing drawing many GA passengers as well as some celebrities, Cruse notes. “We work with the Chamber of Commerce here in Devils Lake which is part of the North Dakota Tourism and they are involved in a lot of promotion for our lake, hunting, and fishing opportunities and we work pretty closely with them.” Cruse relays that “we do see a lot of people coming in here and doing the things around here there is to do and then getting back in their planes and departing.” “The lake draws a lot of people into the area and we have both summer fishing and ice fishing,” Cruse expands.
