316 BUSINESS VIEW MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2019 THE HISTORIC COMMUNITY THEATER REOPENS FALL 2020 We’re very excited to renovate the Community Theater and welcome everyone back next fall in time to celebrate the 100th anniversary of this historic venue. We are restoring several iconic design elements, including the original ticket booth, balcony, proscenium and, of course, the marquee. But, while we celebrate the past and honor the cultural legacy of the theater, we’ll also look to the future from the brand new seats, screen and a variety of programs to the delicious concessions, candy and gourmet popcorn with real butter. There will be many opportunities to share great times at the new SHU Community Theater Independent, art and foreign films/exclusive screening events/celebrity guests Summer blockbusters/holiday schedule/matinees & midnight screenings Educational programs/after-school activities/ kids’ weekends WSHU-hosted events/community meetings & events University speakers/performances Esports/digital media/STEM programs
