Civil Municipal - November 2025

From its inception in 1989, Liebherr Aerospace Salines has grown to be the largest service center in the Liebherr Aerospace global network and is responsible for the Americas region of activity. In October, the company enhanced its aftermarket service capacities with the fifth expansion since 1993. Spanning 33,000 ft² (3,065 m²), the new expansion will adjoin the existing heat transfer facility, which commenced operations in 2016. The new facility will cater to Liebherr-Aerospace Saline’s growing heat transfer aftermarket demand of testing, repair, overhaul, and recore capacity for Liebherr products installed on Airbus, Boeing, Mitsubishi, and Bombardier aircraft. Liebherr enjoys a stable work environment with over 330 staff employed at its Saline industrial campus across a variety of disciplines including production (mechanic/technician/ welder), engineering, finance, sales, customer service, field service, logistics, quality assurance, and information technology. The company continues to promote local employment in close collaboration with the Saline High School welding program which is a year-long, full-time career and technical education (CTE) program offered through the South and West Washtenaw Consortium for students in grades 11-12. Saline is well set for the coming decades as the demand for its services in support of commercial and business aerospace interests continue to climb!
