The Erie County Board of Developmental Disabilities coordinates and administers local, state and federal funds to support individuals with developmental disabilities. Our agency serves approximately 800 eligible individuals annually from infancy through the life span. Operations are overseen by a 7-member board which is appointed by our county commissioners and probate court judge. Three of the board members are mandated to be immediate family members of a person receiving our services or an individual with a disability. Community collaborations with local businesses, faith-based organizations, stakeholder agencies and elected officials are fundamental to our operational principles. We value each and every community partnership and strive to expand and grow new connections throughout our community. The agency strives for a future where community is defined as “all means all” and is accessible to everyone no matter their abilities.
