Through a myriad of engaging programs and activities tailored to cater to the diverse interests and needs of our community, the SCYC has truly made a positive impact. From chess clubs to game clubs, tutoring sessions to critical thinking workshops, the SCYC’s initiatives have focused on nurturing creativity, promoting academic excellence, and fostering personal growth among our youth. The range of events and activities held throughout the year, such as the Martin Luther King celebration, Hispanic and Black History presentations, and Veterans Day events, have showcased the incredible talents and achievements of our youth. In addition to organizing impactful events, the SCYC has also been dedicated to providing essential resources to support youth and families in need. Collaborating with over 72 community organizations, the SCYC has facilitated access to resources ranging from mental health support to job opportunities, ensuring that individuals in our community are equipped to succeed. The remarkable accomplishments of the SCYC youth in 2024/25 have not gone unnoticed, with accolades including District Student of the Month awards, scholarships, and community recognition at various events. The SCYC youth have also received acknowledgments from prominent civic organizations, further highlighting their contributions to the community. As we look towards the future, the SCYC remains committed to its mission of building a stronger and more connected community where individuals of all ages can thrive.
