Fish emphasizes, “That boots-on-the-ground approach to talk about it and get the word out through the industry association has been crucial.” Beyond industry events, the department maintains robust community ties, ensuring that information about the fund permeates Maryland.“The committees are really what commerce is all about because we’ve got to be neutral in that regard,” Fish notes.
