Fissan training kennels opened in Farmington, Minnesota the fall of 2021. Fissan was established by Carol and Robert Nassif after decades of experience in the dog industry. Carol has trained dogs and educated pet owners on dog behavior and obedience training since the late 1990’s. Prior to opening Fissan Training Kennels Carol worked as and still holds a registered nurse license and a board certification in infection prevention. Robert was a third generation flooring specialist. Together they have owned bred raised and trained grand champion AKC UKC registered American Eskimos Since 1989. In addition to dogs both have love of children and helping others grow. They have 4 adult children and are involved in community and youth organizations. Carol has educated 4h youth in Dakota and Rice County 4h Dog training. Carol also judges 4-h dog events each summer. With these passions both decided to change career paths and focus on opening a full scale dog facility. Fissan is just that and provides all things dogs except veterinary care. From clients to their own staff Carol works to educate people and pets. She has developed a mentorship program for individuals interested in learning about dog training, care, behavior and having a career in the dog industry. With a staff of 10-15 depending on the time of year, Fissan brings jobs to Farmington in addition to crucial education to help keep pets in their homes. Fissan provides Dog Daycare, overnight boarding, grooming, group training, private training, stay and trains, owner education and retail dog specialty supplies. Fissan is excited to be part of the Farmington community and looks forward to many more years of providing premier dog services to the community.
