Brad Smarrelli stepped into role of President, Steve Shute became General Manager, and soon after Cindy Spears took charge as Office Manager. Together, this leadership trio propelled the business to new heights, emphasizing a hands-on approach, unparalleled attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to quality that became the hallmark of Smarrelli General Contractors for decades. In July 2023, a new era began when ownership transitioned to Torey and Deanna Hunt, both seasoned professionals with extensive backgrounds in construction and business management. Torey brings years of experience in developing family-owned construction businesses, particularly in agricultural, industrial, and maintenance sectors. Deanna, with her background in agricultural finance and a Bachelors Degree from Purdue University, provides a unique perspective that combines business acumen with an understanding of the local community’s needs. Torey and Deanna are committed to preserving and building upon the legacy of the Smarrelli name. Their vision is clear: to continue delivering top-tier construction services while expanding the company’s footprint and presence in the Wayne, Fayette and Randolph County areas. To support this vision, Bill Killen joined the leadership team as Assistant General Manager, ensuring that the company continues to build on the strong foundation laid by Brad and Steve. Additionally, longtime employee Mike Goeke has stepped into a leadership role, taking on greater responsibility for employee management while maintaining his key role in operations.
