Hancock County Tourism is thrilled to support an exciting new hotel and conference center development by Sun Development, set to open in late 2026.This landmark project will introduce a dual-brand destination—Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites—bringing a new level of hospitality to Hancock County. Located in Hancock Gateway Park, just off the Mt. Comfort exit on I-70, the development will feature 184 guest rooms across the two hotels, along with a full-service restaurant, a bar with inviting patio seating, a pool, and a fitness center. The attached conference center will offer highly flexible meeting spaces, including a ballroom that can be divided into three separate areas, making it ideal for conferences, weddings, and large events. This hotel and conference center combination will be the first of its kind in Hancock County and fills a long-standing need. While the county is home to the last cluster of nationally branded hotels east of Indianapolis before the Indiana–Ohio border, it has lacked a facility with expansive conference space and on-site dining. This transformative project changes that—positioning Hancock County as a premier destination for meetings, events, and overnight stays.
