Hancock County Tourism is very excited to help support a new hotel and conference center project by Sun Development. Opening in 2026, it will be a dual brand hotel: a Hilton Garden Inn and Home 2 Suites. The new hotel and conference center will be in Hancock Gateway Park right off the Mt. Comfort exit on I-70. The hotels will have 184 rooms between the two, and the project features a restaurant, and bar with patio seating in the front and behind the building. There will also be a pool and fitness center.The conference center will consist of meeting rooms, which can be adjusted to accommodate size, and the ballroom can be subdivided into three areas if needed. The hotel and conference center combo will be a first for Hancock County and has been sorely needed as there are no other similar facilities within the county borders. Hancock County also has the last set of name-brand, chain hotels east of Indianapolis and prior to the Indiana/Ohio border at Richmond. However, a facility with the large conference center space and restaurant facilities has been the one piece that has been lacking. This project will fulfill that need.
