Family Partnerships of Central Florida (FPOCF) is the lead child-welfare agency for Brevard, Osceola, Seminole and Orange Counties. The 430-employee agency provides foster placement, adoption, and independent living services for youth. FPOCF’s mission is to protect children, strengthen families and change lives through comprehensive family support programs. The organization works with more than 80 other nonprofits to provide family services. Last fiscal year, the agency’s impact resulted in 493 family reunifications. This year, the agency is working to recruit at least 100 new foster homes in Central Florida. “We provide wraparound services and a system of care that heals families,” said Phil Scarpelli, FPOCF president and CEO.“With Florida’s tremendous growth comes additional need for greater foster-care support. Our No.1 priority is protecting the safety of children, many of whom have experienced trauma at home or during separation from parents. Last year, our team managed the foster placement of 441 children in the four counties we serve along with securing 66 new licensed foster homes.” FPOCF operates seven facilities across the four counties. Case management services are provided by Thompson Child & Family Focus in Seminole, Camelot Community Care in Orange, and Gulf Coast Jewish Family Community Services in Osceola.
