The district has implemented creative funding strategies to supplement state and federal revenue. “We have a very supportive business and community base, financially supportive. In recent years, we have put together a sponsorship and naming rights process,” Dr. Starzecki says. “We’ve been able to secure over a half million dollars in the last year and a half or so just in naming rights and sponsorships.” Major corporate commitments amplify these efforts.
