Palmyra NJ

Environmental Resolutions, Inc (ERI) has worked with the Borough of Palmyra for over nineteen (19) years. Over the years, ERI has worked on numerous impactful projects here. One project that highlights the relationship between ERI and the Borough is the Temple Boulevard Tidal Garden, which won the “2023 Municipal Design Projects, Population Under 20,000” award from the New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers. The sea of asphalt at the misaligned intersection of Temple Boulevard and three other roads is now a Tidal Garden. During heavy storms at high tide in the Delaware River, the inlet from a storm pipe that eventually drained into the river backed up and overflowed into the street. This regularly led to severe flooding in the intersection. Additionally, the misaligned intersection caused confusion on how to navigate traffic flow. The new tidal garden, outfitted with a 30,000+ gallon underground stormwater storage system, not only gives excess stormwater a place to be stored while draining away, but also reconfigured the layout of this puzzling intersection. This type of impactful project is the culmination of our efforts for clients like the Borough of Palmyra. ERI congratulates them on being selected as one of the “Best Managed Municipalities in 2024.” Experts in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Land Use Planning MT.
