Festival (previously the Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Championship), is slated to become a community-oriented park rather than just a tourist destination and event space. The final infrastructure enhancement is the expansion of high-speed internet and telecommunication service for townspeople working from home and local businesses. Also, to improve local broadband wireless services, the council recently approved a proposal for a new telecommunication tower.
