That means that our nuclear sector has helped Canada avoid approximately 45 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions, compared to electricity produced from natural gas. In a country where 83% of our electricity comes from low- or non- emitting sources already, nuclear continues to be a complement to the strong renewables sector that we are always continuing to develop.
