121 FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION Jacksonville’s hometown credit union 1 21 Financial Credit Union of Jacksonville, Florida was founded in 1935, shortly after President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Federal Credit Union Act into law, making it one of the first credit unions in the United States. “It was founded by ten people with $155,” says President & CEO, David Marovich. “Those ten people were Southern Bell employees, and membership was for them, Western Electric employees, and Graybar Electric employees.
