EMPOWERING FAMILIES, STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES: YWCA CANTON’S EARLY HEAD START PROGRAM At YWCA Canton, we believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life. Our Early Head Start–Child Care Partnership program provides high-quality early learning experiences for infants and toddlers from low-income families, ensuring they are prepared for a bright future. Each year, we serve nearly 300 families across Alliance, Canton, and Massillon, working hand-inhand with seven childcare centers to offer comprehensive support. Through these partnerships, we provide safe, nurturing environments, developmental screenings, nutritious meals, and family support services. We also collaborate with the Canton City Health Department, behavioral health agencies, Help Me Grow, and local school districts, ensuring families receive holistic care that extends beyond early education. But our impact goes beyond the classroom. We empower parents as their child’s first and most important teacher, connecting them to workforce training, housing assistance, and other vital resources. Investing in early childhood education means investing in a stronger community—one where every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to thrive. At YWCA Canton, we are committed to eliminating barriers and building brighter futures. To learn more about how we’re transforming lives, visit www.ywcacanton.org.
