North Coast Regional District, British Columbia
Inland Air charters is a floatplane airline operating a fleet of legendary DeHavilland Canada Beaver aircraft based in Prince Rupert, the most northern coastal city in B.C. Known as the ‘City of Rainbows’, Prince Rupert gets more than its fair share of rain, among other coastal weather challenges and as such has established itself as a hardy, robust and resolute community. Inland Air Charters is no different. Evolving over the decades, we have survived through the course of changing times and continue to thrive despite the recent difficulties posed by covid-19. We provide scheduled flight service to our remote coastal communities including Kitkatla, Hartley Bay, Oona River and Masset as well as providing charter service along the whole North Coast including Haida Gwaii. In our summer season we operate sightseeing flights for visitors and locals alike to experience the beauty of our North Coast and its wildlife. Our tough and reliable Beaver aircraft and experienced coastal pilots ensure we can deliver passengers and freight with safety and efficiency as our top priority. Our dedicated team of management and dispatch staff have established strong connections with the communities that depend on us and who are in many ways our extended friends and family. At Inland Air Charters our blending of professionalism and deep-rooted community ties allow us to stand out as a leader in one of the most challenging corners of the aviation industry today. With our in-house maintenance facility our DeHavilland Beaver fleet receives specialized care in order to keep our aircraft proudly flying. Our maintenance engineers each have many years of experience working on these classic and unsurpassed aircraft with strong attention to detail and a wealth of knowledge. To have such classic aircraft in regular commercial service to this day is a testament to both their unrivaled practicality and to our talented maintenance team. Looking ahead, we see opportunity and stability in our future. As the tourism industry recovers from the pandemic, we will be ready to meet demand with renewed excitement but shall continue to maintain the enduring bonds built with our local communities. The possibilities to bridge the gap between these two distinct customer bases by blending tourism with cultural experiences and adventure activities led by local guides opens new avenues built upon trusted and proven relationships. At Inland Air Charters we believe that there is unlimited potential to be gained on all sides by working together and we are ready to see what our new working dynamic looks like as the future unfolds. ......
