EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE LEADING THE PATH FORWARD CAPITAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Located in the heart of Delaware’s capital region, Capital School District serves over 6,000 students through innovative programming, experienced educators, and unmatched facilities. These strengths are evident in the remarkable outcomes of the Class of 2025. Among the 453 graduates, 44 students earned the full four-year DSU Inspire Scholarship, totaling more than $3.1 million, and 45 students secured the Del Tech SEED Scholarship. In total, students amassed over $7.6 million in scholarship offers, reflecting the district’s deep commitment to college and career readiness. The Capital School District continues to chart a bold course toward educational excellence, and the Dover High School Class of 2025 exemplifies that vision in motion. With 94% of seniors completing their graduation requirements and 453 students crossing the commencement stage, this graduating class embodies Dover High School’s mission: ”Every Senator, Every Day, Whatever It Takes.” This success is part of a larger, transformative district-wide strategic plan. From the unveiling of the $113 million state-of-the-art Dover Middle School Campus in 2023 to the upcoming launch of Central Elementary School in the newly renovated former Central Middle School building, the district is investing in the future, one milestone at a time. The Class of 2025 is headed to more than 30 colleges and universities across the nation and internationally, including Temple University’s Japan Campus, Berklee College of Music, Howard University, and the University of Delaware. Many others have committed to military service, workforce entry, or entrepreneurial ventures, showcasing the diverse and comprehensive pathways Capital proudly supports. The achievements of the Dover High School Class of 2025 reflect not only academic rigor but also the compassion, resilience, and opportunity that define Capital’s approach to education. With national accolades such as the Governor Carney K-12 Compassionate Champion Award and Blue Ribbon honors from the U.S. Department of Education, Capital School District continues to raise the bar. In 2023, the district partnered with Verizon Innovative Learning and Digital Promise to close digital access gaps. In 2024, Towne Point Elementary was honored at the Governor’s State of the State for its literacy achievements.
