Further strengthening these ties, the airport has engaged students from these institutions in various hands-on experiences.“We partnered with UT Tyler to create an art display in our commercial terminal,” Thompson says, showcasing a unique blend of art and aviation. Moreover, the airport has involved students in practical exercises, enhancing real-world skills.“We worked hand in hand with TJC and UT Tyler to execute our recent emergency exercise, where we responded to a simulated aircraft emergency,” he elaborates.
