Specializing in neurodiversity-affirming Early Childhood Services (ECS) and school-based contract OT services, our aim is reducing barriers to optimize student participation. Primary service partners currently include Public and Catholic School Divisions, independent First Nations schools/ Education Authorities, and Tribal Councils (e.g., Daycares and preschools/Head Starts) across northern and central Alberta. As the Executive Director and Owner, Camille is a pediatric Occupational Therapist with nearly 15 years of experience in school-based practice. Camille also holds a Bachelor of Elementary Education (minoring in Native Education) from the University of Alberta. Originally from rural northwestern Alberta, in the heart of Treaty 8 Territory, Camille and Sensory Solutions are uniquely positioned to provide services to both rural and urban schools alike. Our flexible and inclusive 3-tiered Response To Intervention (RTI) approach is often sought out for sensory processing/ regulation support. Camille has utilized the expertise from her STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder/Temple University SPD Proficiency Level 2 Course & Certification within a number of school divisions to initiate Sensory Room set-up and training, including drafting custom Guidelines for the Use of Sensory Rooms. Most recently, Sensory Solutions has expanded our offerings to include school-based Mental Health Occupational Therapy services. Let’s connect and explore the possibilities!
