OWNSHIP, OUNTY, P erhaps nowhere in America is George Washington more geographically memorialized than in the State of New Jersey, where 12 out of its 564 officially recognized municipalities bear his name. There is Washington, Washington Crossing, Washington Heights, Washingtonville, Washington Park, and Washington Valley.
