There is the Salt Creek Greenway Trail, the Prairie Path, and the Great Western Trail, which, believe it or not, connects with trails that go all the way to Wisconsin. Villa Park will complete the Tri-Trail Connector, a project that will connect all three of the trails. This project is partially funded by Federal Surface Transportation Project grant funds. In addition to the walking trails the Village has 123 acres of parkland among its 13 parks, plus a seasonal outdoor swimming pool (Jefferson Pool), and it shares ownership of the 9-hole Sugar Creek Golf Course with Elmhurst Park District. The Village recently completed a restoration of Sugar Creek and the streambank to improve the water quality.
