It just makes it easier in terms of bringing executives and products in. There is a direct link between economic development and the ability of this community, this region, to locate and expand projects because of the location of this airport.” This flows over into a larger investment in the local community. The airport hosts tours for groups, allows local organizations to make use of the meeting space, and yearly holds a Family Day, which brings the whole community out to the airport and gives them a chance to explore aircraft and enjoy aviation-related exhibits. The Young Eagles, EAA also gives free flights for children. “I will tell you that pretty much ever since we opened in 2000, we have been planning for a new project, or we’re building a project.
