We have local control over all of our utilities, we have a telecom utility as well and we also own a local transit system that’s operated by HopeSource, which is a non-profit partner.” Faced with state initiatives around carbon reduction, Ellensburg is working with engineering firm McKinstry to create a sustainability plan.
