We want to present it in a way that is safe for them and still is an asset to the learning process.” A STRONG EMPHASIS ON THE ARTS Boardman is widely recognized for its exceptional arts programs, proudly offering five orchestras, multiple bands, and an acclaimed jazz program that is showcased at various events throughout the year. “They perform throughout the community, sometimes up to 50 times a year outside in different venues,” describes Radinovic. Another source of pride is Project Mayhem, a Trans-Siberian-style rock orchestra that has been captivating large audiences for nearly two decades. “Everything’s electrified, and students perform for two and a half hours,” Radinovic portrays. “What’s most impressive is that the students themselves have a lot to do with the choices. It’s not part of the school day.
